This 3-year project involves the Company’s artists working in local schools to introduce children to folk dance, orchestra practice, singing and body percussion, and soundscape creation. The first year, 2025-2026, involved schools in Pont-sur Seulles (orchestra at school), Moulins en Bessin and Ver-sur-Mer (singing and body percussion), Audrieu (folk dance), and Lingèvres (soundscape). The children were able to conclude this project with 2 days of rehearsals and 2 shows in the specially arranged Creully gymnasium.
This creation is made possible thanks to the participation of:

The “Schools that Folk” project is inspired by a pilot program from OCCE51 (Marne). We have been running this initiative for eight years—even before the Company was founded. Every year in November, the company’s musicians train teachers from registered classes in five folk dances. This training, along with the materials produced by our team, allows teachers to teach these dances in their classrooms throughout the year. Between April and June, participating schools welcome “La Valseuse” for a ball where the musicians accompany the prepared dances. This ball is an opportunity for students to showcase their work independently, but it also allows them to experience the atmosphere of a real dance and for families to join in the celebration.
Artistic lineup: Antoine Koehl, Rivo Ralison, Stéphane Devineau, Nadège Queuniet
