The project was born from an impression of a parent and musician (Nadège). At the school gate, parents chat in small groups. Each of these groups speaks a different language. With no apparent mixing. Some parents have been there for a short time, others for a long time. Some also speak French, others do not. The children all speak French in addition to their mother tongue. But when they enter the school, you might think they forget everything about their culture of origin, barely able to say hello in a language other than the school’s language. For the kindergarten teacher, the stakes are high. Communication remains difficult with parents, who sometimes feel rejected by an institution they do not understand.
How can I help create connections as a musician?
The idea takes shape: Compagnie des Airs Sauvages will respond to the DRAC’s Jumelages – résidences d’artistes call for projects with “Nursery Rhymes for Living Together.” Parents are then invited into the school to sing nursery rhymes to their children in their mother tongue. The musician will seize this richness and work in the classrooms to pass on these songs in turn, creating a common language base for everyone.

Nadège Queuniet
As a musician of oral tradition, I have always experienced music as a form of sharing.
I met a fiddler in 1990, Louis Lebellanger, who passed on part of his repertoire to me. At the same time, I attended numerous diatonic accordion workshops. In 1994 I began teaching in turn. In 1998 I participated in the creation of the association La Loure, whose mission is to collect and share the traditional repertoire of Normandy. At the same time, I played in various groups: OFNI, la Bastringue, Zikfa, to name just a few.
In 2004 I began working regularly in hospitals, first with elderly people, then with children. It was the Music and Health training in 2010 that made me realize the importance of world music repertoire during my bedside concerts. Since then, I have been committed to expanding my repertoire, particularly through cultural projects, but also through encounters.
Working with Marie Lemoine (storyteller, Compagnie Magnanarelle) introduced me to children’s theater, and it is with all these experiences that I embarked on the Rrron Piche adventure.

As a musician of changing traditions, I experience music as an opportunity to explore new sensations…
In 1990 I met a musician who introduced me to the basics of blues and rock n’roll in the damp cellars of a railway town in Northern France. That’s also where I discovered the different components of the performing arts world (lighting, sound, etc.). In 2003 I went to the ATLA school in Paris to learn how to communicate with my double bass and music in general.
In Normandy since 2002, I have met many people, developed musical workshops, and specialized in technical work. Until I crossed paths with Nadège QUEUNIET and Stéphane DEVINEAU in the group Manigale… as Nadège naturally turned to me, I did not look away, and here I am in Rrron Piche!
