With its balSUPERfolk, Manigale has been scouring the stages and dance floors of France and Europe for over 10 years.
An energizing cuisine from the Norman alternative folk scene, the Manigale recipe includes a dose of double bass, a hint of accordion, and a pinch of violin. All seasoned with guitar and spiced up with sequences, bass drum, cittern, banjo, or electric guitar.
With dance tunes from Normandy, Poitou, or elsewhere—whether invented or inventive—MANIGALE’s soundscape draws you in and surprises, drumming and whispering.
Our traditional music is color to dance to, energy to embody, and folk’n roll to vibrate to together.

Setups and technical riders
La Valseuse is a caravan-stage built in 2021 in the “wake” of the Covid crisis, with the goal of performing anywhere and autonomously.
Pro area
Le Bal Totem stages Manigale in a circular format. The performance takes place in the middle of the audience, with 360° sound thanks to a star-shaped speaker setup.
This setup requires 2 additional technicians and an indoor space of approximately 15m x 15m. Sound and lighting are also provided by us.
The resulting musical and dance experience is particularly immersive and engaging for a folk dance.
Finally, Manigale performs in a classic setup, with a technical rider, with or without our own sound engineer, for concerts or folk dances.
